The Opportunity
We’re partnered with a high-performance, tech-driven trading firm looking to hire a Trading Operations Engineer to support their global trading systems during APAC hours.
This position aligns with early APAC mornings (approximately 7am – 3pm SGT / 8am – 4pm JST / 9am-5pm AEST), covering overnight trading from a Dubai perspective. You’ll play a key role in keeping production systems stable, responding to real-time incidents, and working closely with traders and engineers to ensure uninterrupted trading activity.

Key Responsibilities
Provide dedicated off-hours coverage to maintain high trading uptime
Act as the first responder for production and infrastructure incidents during your shift
Collaborate closely with trading and engineering teams to minimise downtime and improve resolution times
Monitor system health, performance, and alerts using modern observability tools
Contribute to reliability best practices within an SRE-style environment
Drive improvements in automation, tooling, and operational workflows
Required Experience
Strong Linux fundamentals including shell usage, system debugging, and networking tools
Good understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting connectivity issues
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes fundamentals (pods, scheduling, debugging)
Experience managing configurations using Helm or similar tooling
Comfortable working in a 24/7 environment with an incident-response mindset
Ability to read and debug Python code in production
Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
Nice to Have
Exposure to structured incident management approaches
Experience with GitOps and deployment tools (e.g. ArgoCD)
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, VPCs, EC2)
Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform)
Experience querying ClickHouse for performance analysis
Understanding of Kafka or similar messaging systems
