About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Project Leader / Epic Delivery Owner to join a CISO organisation and lead end-to-end Information Security projects. The role focuses on delivering complex security initiatives across technical and functional domains, with a strong emphasis on Identity & Access Management (IDAM) and infrastructure security.
You will be accountable for driving delivery from initiation to closure, ensuring strong governance, high-quality execution, and alignment with business and security objectives. Experience in CyberArk and Privileged Access Management (PAM) environments is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Execution
- Lead security epics from ideation through to closure
- Define scope, objectives, deliverables, success criteria, and governance structure
- Ensure delivery of all project outputs within agreed timelines, budget, and quality standards
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycle, including dependencies, milestones, and impacts
Planning & Governance
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans (including exception plans where required)
- Ensure alignment with internal methodologies (Waterfall / PMI / PRINCE2 / Agile frameworks)
- Drive demand intake processes (e.g. QBR / QP or equivalent)
- Prepare and present weekly status reports to sponsorship and governance committees
Risk, Issue & Change Management
- Identify, track, and manage risks and issues with mitigation plans
- Escalate key risks and issues to governance bodies when required
- Manage change control and ensure no unapproved scope or budget deviations
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions with stakeholders
Stakeholder & Team Management
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across CISO, IT, and business functions
- Ensure proper resource allocation across internal and external teams
- Lead, motivate, and challenge delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes
- Manage dependencies across multiple stakeholders and vendor
Operational Readiness & Transition
- Ensure operational readiness and support readiness are embedded throughout delivery
- Oversee testing, deployment, and production readiness activities
- Ensure smooth transition to operational teams and business adoption
- Deliver post-implementation reviews and lessons learned reports
Required Experience & Skills
- 10+ years of Project Management experience in large financial services organisations
- Proven experience managing multiple large-scale projects in parallel
- Experience delivering complex initiatives (typically 1000–3000 man-days)
- Strong knowledge of project lifecycle management (scope, budget, resourcing, risk)
- Experience with Waterfall, PMI, PRINCE2, and Agile delivery methodologies
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Experience managing outsourced or multi-vendor environments (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) across all levels
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and governance committees
Technical & Domain Expertise
- Strong understanding of Information Security principles and infrastructure environments
- Solid experience in Identity & Access Management (IDAM) concepts and architecture
- Familiarity with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions such as CyberArk is a strong plus
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and translate requirements into delivery outcomes
