PowerShell Engineer

Role Overview

This role sits within a security and automation team focused on improving identity management, operational efficiency, and infrastructure security. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing automation solutions, enhancing existing tools, and supporting day-to-day security operations in a complex enterprise environment.

The role requires strong PowerShell expertise and close collaboration with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to deliver secure and scalable automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PowerShell modules and scripts

• Automate operational and security processes to reduce manual effort

• Design and maintain technical documentation, including process flows and system designs

• Conduct security assessments and support risk identification and remediation

• Monitor and maintain infrastructure components, ensuring performance and availability

• Troubleshoot and resolve automation and infrastructure-related issues

• Collaborate with IT operations, security, and compliance teams

• Support reporting activities and maintain dashboards (Power BI where applicable)

Requirements

• Advanced PowerShell (5.1 / 7+) experience

• Strong experience with PowerShell scripting, modules, and remoting

• Solid Active Directory experience

• Good understanding of authentication and authorization concepts

• Experience with SQL reporting and data analysis

• Strong Git and scripting best practices

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments

• Ability to work in international and cross-functional teams

Nice to Have

• Ansible for automation and configuration management

• Power BI for reporting and visualisation

• Power Apps experience

• Excel VBA knowledge

• Experience with SailPoint

• Exposure to SIEM and PAM tools
