    The Role:

    As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing components of a state-of-the-art data platform that underpins strategic decision-making processes. Your work will be pivotal to the success of our client, impacting various teams including customer success, growth, markets, product, and finance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, serving as a bridge between product engineering and data analytics.

    Responsibilities:

    • Apply an automation mindset and DevSecOps principles to design and enhance data systems and architectures.
    • Integrate with APIs of third-party data sets to facilitate data pipelines and reporting use cases.
    • Build robust data systems and pipelines utilizing SaaS systems such as Amazon DMS and DBT Cloud.
    • Solve complex business challenges by leveraging your technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of the data landscape.
    • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts on multiple projects, ensuring efficient data organization, preparation, and exploration for prescriptive and predictive modelling.
    • Enhance data quality and reliability by exploring innovative methods and techniques.
    • Implement critical data pipelines and contribute to advancing best practices in privacy, data governance, and information security.

    Requirements:

    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python.
    • Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and data warehouses (e.g., AWS Redshift).
    • Familiarity with data modeling, data governance concepts, and agile methodologies.
    • Knowledge of industry-standard tools like Stitch, DMS, etc.
    • Strong statistical, analytical, and big data technology skills.
    • Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.
    • Technical expertise in data models and excellent numerical skills.
    • A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus, or equivalent experience of seven years.
